I thought I’d been to every course in Central FL and don’t know how I missed this gem. I’d probably put this towards the top of my favorite course list. Fairways were immaculate, greens (although recently aerated) were very nice, tee boxes were perfect. The course layout is really fun and challenging. Even though it’s a bit of a drive, I’ll definitely be back! The turkeys wandering the fairways are also a nice change from the regular sandhill cranes!

I came to play my first 18-hole round here on a rainy day, and overall the experience started well. Rich was fantastic—professional, patient, and genuinely helpful as I navigated being a new player. The course was a good choice for my skill level, especially with the sale going on. Unfortunately, the experience soured significantly after the front nine. When my friend and I returned to the pro shop and asked about taking a quick cart ride to review the course, we encountered unprofessional behavior from a staff member named Jeff. His response was dismissive and hostile—far different from the respectful service we’d received earlier. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that multiple other golfers witnessed it. If you’re a beginner looking for a welcoming environment to learn golf, I’d recommend elsewhere. While some staff members are excellent, the inconsistency in customer service—particularly when visitors ask simple questions—was disappointing.

Played two rounds at Cypress Head Golf Club and had a fantastic experience both times — one early morning and one in the afternoon. The course layout is really fun and the conditions were excellent. Greens rolled nicely, and the fairways and tee boxes were in very good shape. The pace of play was perfect. I hardly had to wait on any holes which made the round really enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially the bag drop/starter and the bartender. The pro shop is beautiful and well stocked with plenty of merchandise. Before the early round I grabbed a coffee, and at the turn I tried their “3-minute breakfast sandwich” (rye, egg, cheese, and sausage) with another coffee. It really did come out fast and was delicious. Also saw turkeys and rabbits on the course which added to the experience. Overall a great public course and I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.

16 of us played no discount $80 for the round! Inconsistent greens sloped tee boxes and plenty of rough patches in the fairways! Will definitely never play here again unless they drop the prices it’s a 50-60 dollar course!

I wanted to give this place 5 stars because it was in great shape and is as equally challenging as it is enjoyable, but unfortunately the members had to negatively affect the whole experience. The starter was going around quite frequently so we thought he was attempting to manage pace of play but apparently only for non members who were not causing any issues. We paired up with a twosome who started 40 minutes before us. They told us they have been stuck behind a foursome of members who were insufferable on every hole. They wouldn’t hit off the tee box until the green was cleared even on par 5s!! They also averaged about 20 minutes just on the green! That is unacceptable. The backup was insane with up to 2 and 3 groups on a tee box. They need to do better at managing their members. The course is overall beautiful and the cart girl was on point as well circling at least 3 times during our round.
